While mixing and mingling, featured beauty guru , national beauty editor, and founder of “The Beauty Girl”, Nicole Pearl, presented her expert tips and tricks to looking red carpet ready on your big day. Insider secrets ranged from the perfect bridal palette to secret blemish fixes to undercover celebrity products that add a dewy sun kissed glow to skin. And not to be missed was Exhale Spa’s Allesandra Rosa, who manicured awaiting brides’ brows with her expert touch. All the while models debuted Michelle Rahn’s gorgeous new collection to an audience of blushing brides-to-be. Our guests lingered on until the late hours and left with gift bags full of goodies. Ladies of luxury rejoice – Due to high demand Michelle Rahn is launching couture dressing for Chicago’s fashion savvy mothers of the bride/groom and fashion minded woman everywhere in search of an exquisite couture gown for their special occasion. You’ll be able to select from the finest and richest fabrics, laces, and embellishments straight from the couture mills in Italy, France, and Mumbai, work hand in hand with acclaimed designer Michelle Gertzman, and receive a gorgeous personalized sketch of your custom creation. The new evening couture line officially launches at our trunk show December 16-17. Please join us at Michelle Rahn’s West Loop atelier to sip champagne, sample delectable sweets from one of Chicago’s most notable pastry chef’s Sarah Levy from Sarah’s Bakery, and indulge in the luxurious Parisian couture dressmaking process.

Couture bridal salon Michelle Rahn just hosted their Bridal Fêtette on Saturday May 2, 2009. And what a fêtette it was! Amidst a comfortable and elegant atmosphere, each guest sipped champagne and chatted into the late afternoon about all things bridal. And while enjoying each other’s company, each guest was simultaneously treated to unforgettable tips from some of Chicago’s most knowledgeable bridal industry professionals. The lucky women in attendance came in as guests and left as friends.

The event opened with effervescent makeup artist Eunita Carter from ECC Artistry, who gave mini touch-ups and shared professional insider beauty tips. Next, stylist-to-the-stars, Sherri Hoke, treated guests to flawless style tips, with the aim of making every guest’s special day a “Red Carpet Moment.” And the most pleasant surprise of the afternoon came from cake designer Mary Winslow, of Take the Cake. Brides-to-be didn’t hesitate to indulge in the delicious dessert from the award-winning specialist. However, Mary’s desserts weren’t the only treats that took the cake. That honor was also reserved for the couture dresses themselves, the passion of designer and salon owner Michelle Gertzman. Michelle discussed how to navigate through the often-stressful parts of the dress process— including properly selecting, fitting, and ordering a high-quality gown. The event culminated in Michelle’s guests trying on their favorite gown and striking a pose for all their new friends in attendance. Guests left the salon with a keepsake of the professionals’ brochures to complement their new ideas. Two additional professionals not in attendance, florist A Stem Above and photographer Jai Girard also left valuable written information for the brides to take with them.

A memorable afternoon indeed!
