Completely Couture

Pure magic happens when a bride finally finds her perfect gown, “the one,” a dress that encapsulates her personality and style so completely. For some brides, their wedding day vision can only be fulfilled with a gown made exclusively for them. That’s where our couture services come into play, giving us the opportunity to design unique creations exclusively tailored and inspired by our clients. It’s also one of the perks that makes being a designer so fulfilling…and that’s just how we feel about bride Jessica and the stunning couture gown we created for her big day.

Jessica wanted something incredible, unique, and dramatic so beginning entirely from scratch, she worked hand in hand with Michelle on the design process of her custom gown, just as it was done in the heyday of Parisian couture. Michelle first sketched concepts for Jessica to choose from and once agreed upon, the real design process began…. from choosing fabrics to custom designing the most exquisite beading you’ve ever laid eyes on… we almost died when we opened the box!! Of course that was followed by rounds of muslin fittings, making sure the gown’s silhouette and shape was perfectly cut for Jessica, hand tucking the beautiful organza folds of the bodice, and hand cutting and affixing each of the jeweled petals to the dramatic skirt. Finally our Priscilla belt finished off the look with that extra touch of sparkle. Utterly gorgeous!

For many brides it’s difficult to envision how a drawing translates into a real gown….Jessica put her trust in Michelle and boy did it turn out amazing!! Here’s how Jessica’s sketch transformed into the finished product!
